Job Summary
Paraprofessional to support Special Education Tier 3 students in regular classroom or self-contained settings; administer medical assistance as instructed by a health care professional; relieve teachers of clerical tasks; model skills and assist in implementing IEP plans; monitor student behavior across settings; prepare and adapt instructional materials; provide early intervention and remediation through small-group or individual instruction; assist with tests, homework, and records; communicate with supervising staff; supervise students and respond to emergencies; support in creating a safe learning environment and coordinate with support personnel and substitute teachers as needed; perform routine clerical duties and assist in organizational tasks; utilize assistive technology and maintain instructional resources to support classroom objectives.
Required Qualifications
- A valid Missouri Teaching Certificate
- Sixty college hours
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent
- minimum of thirty-sixty college hours from an accredited college or university
- pass the Paraprofessional test in the State of Missouri or Missouri 20-hour Online Substitute Training Program
- Medication Administration trained as needed
- CPR/First Aid Certificate
- MANDT trained as needed
- Substitute Certificate
- Criminal Background Clearance
