Job Summary
Paraprofessional - Special Education Tier 3 provides instructional and behavioral support for students with special needs in regular or self-contained classrooms. Responsibilities include adapting activities to support objectives, administering basic first aid and medical assistance as directed, assisting with tests and assignments, communicating with instructional staff, monitoring student behavior, performing routine clerical duties, preparing research-based lessons for remediation, implementing IEP goals, utilizing assistive technology, and collaborating with teachers to promote student success. Requires following health and safety protocols, maintaining materials and records, and supporting a safe learning environment. Education: High School diploma or equivalent; Missouri requirements may include additional college hours and certification as noted.
Required Qualifications
- Medication Administration trained as needed
- CPR/First Aid Certificate
- MANDT trained as needed
- Substitute Certificate
- Criminal Background Clearance
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent
