Job Summary
Kindergarten Instructional Paraprofessional needed at St. Petronille Catholic School in Glen Ellyn for August–November 2026 on a part-time basis. The role supports classroom instruction and student learning under the supervision of the principal, participating in lesson planning, classroom management, grading, and coordinated communications with parents. The paraprofessional helps implement the school’s Catholic educational philosophy, assists with student supervision, attends faculty meetings and in-service trainings, and collaborates with staff to advance students’ educational growth. Minimum requirements include a High School Diploma and at least 60 hours of postsecondary credit; Illinois teaching-related licenses or permits are preferred but not required. Hourly range is $15.00–$23.00, with final rate determined locally based on experience and licensure. The position is part-time and benefits-ineligible. The role is tied to maternity leave coverage and requires adherence to diocesan policies and the Code of Ethics and Professional Teaching Standards.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma required
- Minimum of sixty (60) hours of credit from a recognized institution of higher education
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Education is preferred but not required
- Current Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL), Illinois Substitute License, or ELS(PARA) preferred, but not required
