Job Summary
Administer subject-specific assessments, monitor and motivate student progress toward academic and skill objectives, and differentiate classroom work to address individualized learning needs. Deliver group and individual instruction within established curriculum guidelines while managing student behavior to ensure a safe environment. Collaborate with instructional staff, parents, and administrators to communicate expectations and reinforce classroom goals, and counsel students or refer them to appropriate personnel for personal issues. Prepare written materials documenting progress and report health and safety incidents to administrators. Respond to emergency situations and inquiries from various sources, directing students to appropriate resources as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Arizona Teaching Certificate
- Appropriately Certified in Core Content Area
- SEI Endorsement Required
- Criminal Background Clearance
- Valid Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
- FLSA Status - Exempt
- Bachelor's degree in job-related area
- Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling
- Significant stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling
- Significant fine finger dexterity
- 10% sitting
- 40% walking
- 50% standing
- Work under some temperature extremes
- Conditions with some exposure to risk of injury and/or illness
