Job Summary
Paraprofessional - Registered Behavior Technician provides instructional support for individual or small groups, assists in implementing behavior modification plans, collects and documents data, communicates with teachers, parents, and agencies, and helps maintain records. Responsibilities include assisting with assessments, guiding students in social interactions, implementing skill acquisition procedures, and supporting teachers in ensuring fidelity of behavior-analytic procedures. Requires knowledge of basic math, literacy, classroom procedures, data collection, and the ability to work with diverse learners in a Special Education setting; also involves clerical duties and collaboration with school staff to support student outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Valid Missouri teaching certificate (preferred)
- Sixty college hours (preferred)
- Paraprofessional test or Missouri substitute training program (preferred)
- RBT license preferred
- Criminal background clearance
- MANDT training annually
- Substitute Certificate (preferred)
