Job Summary
Deliver ESL instruction in a structured, academically rigorous environment while fostering students' positive self-view through social, emotional, and intellectual development. Create and maintain positive classroom culture by reinforcing school-wide rules, developing curriculum materials, and using detailed data analysis to inform best practices. Collaborate with the Head of School, Assistant Head of School, and Dean of Students to implement strategies for all students to reach success, while maintaining accurate records and abiding by state and federal mandates. Work an extended school day to facilitate collaboration, professional development, and communication with parents and staff. Model the network's core values of respect, responsibility, integrity, excellence, and community for students, families, and colleagues.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- Valid Tennessee teaching license and endorsement(s) in the hired content area
Desired Qualifications
- Master's Degree
- Two to four years of urban teaching and educational leadership experience
- Ability to work with a variety of learning abilities, including those with low skill levels in a heterogeneously grouped classroom setting
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
