Job Summary
Plan, prepare, and deliver instructional activities for middle and elementary school band, orchestra, and music classes using relevant technology to support learning. Establish clear objectives, manage student behavior, and monitor individual progress while assigning and grading assessments. Provide feedback, maintain accurate student records, and communicate regularly with parents and colleagues regarding student needs. Participate in department meetings, extracurricular activities, and pastoral duties including counseling students with academic problems. Keep up to date with developments in the subject area to refine instructional plans.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited institution
- Meet professional teacher education requirements of school, district and state
- Single subject teaching credential or certification if teaching a specialized subject
- State certification
