Job Summary
Maintenance Technician IV (HVAC) responsible for a broad range of skilled facility maintenance tasks including analysis of blueprints/schematics for system installation, estimating labor and materials, fabricating parts, informing staff on work-order status, installing diverse materials (carpet, tile, roofing, cabinetry, drywall, plumbing, insulation, electrical, masonry), maintaining tools/equipment, overseeing other technicians, and performing routine/preventive maintenance across trades (HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, welding). Requires ability to read technical documents, coordinate tasks, ensure safety compliance, transport materials, and potentially lead projects with on-site supervision; this role emphasizes multi-trade journeyman work and strong problem-solving, organizational and communication skills.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum Qualifications: SKILLS include performing skilled maintenance involving carpentry, plumbing and electrical trades; use of hand and power tools; operating equipment such as saws, drill presses, forklifts; reading technical information; knowledge of carpentry, electrical and plumbing; health and safety regulations; ability to maintain school buildings safety and cleanliness.
