Job Summary
Lead Teacher for KIPP NC, responsible for delivering scripted curricula (K-8 Open Up Resources, K-8 ELA Fish Tank, 9-12 English/History AP For All, 9-12 Math/Science materials), using interim assessments, MAP, EOGs/EOCs and other data to inform instruction, maintaining gradebooks and data tracking, and building positive relationships with students, families, teachers, and staff. Responsibilities include preparing and delivering lessons with fidelity, creating exemplar responses and accountability documents, participating in ongoing professional development and PD Tuesday/Wednesday sessions, attending school events and family communications, and contributing to a positive school culture aligned with KIPP values. Requires collaboration with coaches for growth, adherence to pacing guides, and engagement in feedback to improve practice.
Required Qualifications
- Active NC teaching license or eligibility for NC licensure
- Experience or readiness to implement scripted curricula across grade levels K-12
- Ability to use assessment data to drive instruction
- Commitment to professional development and collaboration with coaches
