Job Summary
Provide instruction to parents in and out of the school environment and promote the academic and affective needs of students by providing leadership training that empowers parents to be an advocate for the educational needs of their children; establish a climate conducive to open communication and productive work among staff and the community; coordinate and assist in planning Title I Regular Involvement activities, home visits, parent conferences, and parent volunteer programs; plan and conduct Adult Basic Education/self-esteem activities for parents in English and Spanish; communicate with teachers, parents, and community partners to promote parental involvement and student success; leverage bilingual communication to engage diverse families and support district programs.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid Texas driver’s Class C license
- Bilingual-speak and write fluent English and Spanish
- Effective interpersonal skills
- Basic computer skills
