Job Summary
Hockey Coach for Magnolia Science Academy in Reseda, CA. Part-time, 11-month season. Responsibilities include attending and coaching all regular season and playoff games, planning and running two weekly practices, coordinating transportation to/from games, ensuring player safety and adherence to league rules, and representing the league professionally. Requires USA Hockey Level 1 certification, CAHA screening, SafeSport training, and USA Hockey membership; prior coaching and hockey-knowledge experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- All coaches must be a minimum of USA Hockey Level 1 Certified.
- USA Hockey Certification must be current and valid for the entire League season (August 17th, 2026 – March 20th, 2027)
- All coaches must complete USA Hockey Certification, CAHA Screening, SafeSport Training.
- Must maintain insurance through USA Hockey Membership
- Previous coaching experience (Pewee aged players and above is preferred)
- In-depth knowledge of the sport of hockey
- Previous club or collegiate playing experience is preferred
