Job Summary
Provide leadership for the school's athletic program as Head Baseball Coach, coordinating the baseball program in alignment with MSHSAA standards. Responsible for supervising student-athletes during practices and contests, organizing and scheduling practices to develop players’ potential, coordinating transportation, facilities, officials, and game management, and ensuring safety and ethical conduct. Maintain adherence to coaching standards, participate in ongoing professional development (MSHSAA/NFHS Coaching Principles and Sports First Aid), and complete required district and school professional development hours. Eligible candidate will hold a Teachers Certificate or valid Substitute/Temporary Certificate and may be employed as a full- or part-time district employee; role is seasonal and based in Kansas City, MO.
Required Qualifications
- Must have a Teachers Certificate or valid Substitute Certificate or Temporary (provisional) Teacher’s Certificate.
- Must fulfill 8 contact hours of professional development: District level mtgs –4hrs; School level mtgs - 3hrs; Outside mtgs/Clinics –1hr
- Must successfully complete the MSHSAA/NFHS Coaching Principles Course and Sports First Aid Courses.
