2026-27 Elementary School Literacy Teacher

Conduct Close Reading, Writing, Phonics, and Literacy Interventions blocks while teaching rigorous, classically-inspired lessons that adhere to grade level standards for students in grades 2-4. Implement student work protocols and data analysis practices to urgently respond to student data, regularly evaluating progress toward mastery. Collaborate vertically with Literacy content teachers and laterally with grade-level teachers, while partnering with families to nurture a home-to-school connection. Participate in ongoing professional development, including formal and informal observation and coaching cycles and daily intellectual prep meetings. Establish and maintain a highly structured classroom culture where scholars develop internalization and mastery of virtue.
