Job Summary
Assist in the preparation of behavior strategies with the Principal and Behavior Specialist; provide assistance to students with behavioral needs (emotional support, physical management); reinforce instructional/behavioral objectives; review and practice skills with students one-to-one and in small groups in special education and general education classrooms; meet with teachers, behavior specialists, administrators, and parents regarding behavioral concerns; maintain student records/data; supervise students in the absence of teachers; escort students to various areas; monitor students during recess and meals; participate in cross walk duty rotation before/after school hours; transport students to and from home or other learning environments; perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- One year of experience in a similar position
- Valid, current Driver’s License
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Computer proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, data entry, email, and internet
