Job Summary
Conduct elective instruction in Financial Literacy and Computer Science, delivering lessons that foster mastery of concepts through varied instructional methods. Model core values of respect, responsibility, integrity, excellence, and community while maintaining high academic and behavioral expectations. Create and maintain positive classroom culture, reinforcing school-wide rules and developing curriculum materials aligned with cross-curricular themes. Utilize detailed data analysis of student performance to inform best practices and support social, emotional, and intellectual development. Communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues to build strong relationships, working an extended school day for collaboration and parental engagement. Partner with administrative leadership to implement strategies for student success and complete assigned administrative duties in accordance with state and federal mandates.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- Valid Tennessee teaching license and endorsement(s) in the hired content area (HISTORY/Social Studies)
- Valid teaching license from a state that offers reciprocity with TN
- Eligibility for Tennessee teaching license
- Two to four years of urban teaching and educational leadership experience

- Ability to work with a variety of learning abilities, including those with low skill levels in a heterogeneously grouped classroom setting
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
