Job Summary
Dyslexia Interventionist pool responsible for screening and treating students with dyslexia using multisensory, phonetic instructional strategies, and dyslexia program components described in the Dyslexia Handbook. Includes providing instructional plans, completing written reports/portfolios of dyslexia testing, conducting assessments, participating in ARD/504 meetings, and ensuring alignment with TEA Dyslexia Handbook descriptors, IDEA requirements, and district policies. Requires collaboration with students, parents, peers, and supervisors, virtual instruction capability, and ongoing compliance with federal/state regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Hold a teacher certification
- Bachelor's degree from accredited university
- Valid Texas Teachers Certificate
- CALT/LDT preferred
- Experience in teaching Reading
- Experience with students with dyslexia
- Knowledge of 504/IEP processes and ARD meetings
- Proficiency in Dyslexia Handbook descriptors
- Ability to conduct assessments for dyslexia identification
- Ability to create and implement instructional plans for dyslexia students
- Experience with IEP/ARD/504 documentation
- Use of technology in teaching and learning
- Ability to collaborate with parents and staff
- Professional development in dyslexia interventions
