Job Summary
Sweep, mop, vacuum, scrub, and refinish floors; clean restrooms, windows, and walls; dispose of rubbish, and pick up litter within schools and on grounds. Shovel, salt, and secure against wind damage during inclement weather while applying cleaning chemicals per safety procedures. Perform minor repairs, painting, and maintenance; advise the principal on mechanical equipment issues. Initiate maintenance service requests, manage cleaning supply inventory, and secure equipment against theft. Periodically inspect facilities, lock and code out the building at shift end, and assist with emergency planning. Work 8 hours daily, 5 days a week, from 2:30pm to 11:00pm during the 2026-2027 school year.
Required Qualifications
- Successful experience in working with culturally diverse families and communities

- Skill in communicating with a diverse population
- Completed an apprenticeship or the equivalent within the specific trade/craft area
- Training in First Aid
- CPR and defibrillator training
- Ability to communicate and maintain good working relations with all District employees, vendors, contractors, and public entities
- Ability to work effectively in an environment with frequent interruptions requiring the ability to concentrate and consistently produce accurate work while responding to interruptions and changing priorities
- Initiative and ability to work with minimal direction
- Sound judgment and decision making capabilities
- Knowledge of state and local codes related to assigned trade/craft
- Valid Washington State driver's license
