Job Summary
Business Education Teacher responsible for delivering instruction aligned to South Carolina Career & Technology Standards in business/marketing, including development of business plans and use of technology applications to build understanding of business operations. Facilitates career planning opportunities in business administration occupations and assists students in obtaining initial industry certifications. Plans and conducts a dynamic, standards-based instructional program, fosters inquiry and problem-solving, collaborates with staff, engages families, ensures compliance with district policies and records requirements, and upholds professional standards and confidentiality. Requires a Bachelor's degree (or higher) in a related field and state licensure for Business Education Technology; FBLA experience preferred; valid SC driver’s license; Exempt status and district employment expectations apply. Hours, workplace expectations, and application procedures described by the Beaufort County School District.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher from a regionally accredited college/university in a CATE business/marketing related field
- Must be licensed to teach Business/Marketing Education or be eligible for South Carolina educational licensure in Business Education Technology
- Must possess and maintain a valid South Carolina driver's license
