2026-27 Assistant Orchestra Director

Job Summary
The teacher will establish and foster a positive classroom environment for K-12 orchestra program, coordinate transportation and facilities for contests and activities, maintain district facilities and music-related inventory, build positive school-community relations, and complete district paperwork. Responsibilities include supervising staff as assigned, maintaining accurate records, and supporting district policies and initiatives under the direction of the site administrator and Director of Fine Arts. Requires a Bachelor's degree and state teaching certification; prior classroom experience preferred. Physical duties include lifting and being in varied work environments typical of school settings.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university
- Teaching certification recognized by the State of Oklahoma
- Previous experience with children or in a classroom setting is preferred
- Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily
