Job Summary
Volunteer Assistant Field Hockey Coach at Sussex Academy. Responsibilities include communicating with assistant coaches about roles and duties, collaborating to implement organized practice plans and game strategies, overseeing safety conditions in the facilities during student activities, ensuring compliance with HAC, DIAA, and school rules, preparing and updating detailed equipment inventories and team/individual records, and following Sussex Academy's Mindful Coach Profile. Additional duties as assigned; strong emphasis on effective communication with athletes and parents, collaboration with coaching staff, and coordination with the athletic trainer to support student-athletes' well-being.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma required
- CPR certification and concussion protocol training or willingness to become certified
- Clean Criminal Background Check
- Delaware Child Protection Registry clearance
- TB test must be completed prior to the start of employment or work with student athletes
