Job Summary
Head Volleyball Coach at the high school level responsible for planning, organizing, and conducting regular practice sessions; developing and implementing game strategies and tactics; teaching fundamental skills, techniques, and rules to student-athletes; supervising during practices, games, and trips; monitoring academic progress and balancing athletics with academics; promoting discipline, responsibility, and good sportsmanship; ensuring compliance with school, district, and state athletic regulations; managing team equipment and uniforms; collaborating with the athletic director on scheduling, budget, and facility use; maintaining open communication with parents and guardians; mentoring student-athletes on personal development and college opportunities; enforcing all school policies and codes of conduct; performing other duties as assigned; role requires evening and weekend work as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Prior coaching experience at the high school or competitive youth level
- Valid Florida teaching certificate or valid Department of Education athletic coaching certificate
- Valid FHSAA certification
- Valid Adult and Child First Aid/CPR/AED certificate issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Any appropriate combination of relevant education, experience, and/or certifications may be considered
- Valid Florida Driver’s License
