Job Summary
Design and implement instructional programs for visually impaired students, prepare, implement and evaluate individualized education plans, and provide specialized instructional techniques and materials. Utilize Braille and assistive technology to support student learning; prepare lesson plans, schedules, and collaborate with school personnel to coordinate services. Participate in staffing and evaluation teams, communicate progress to parents and agencies, and engage community resources to meet students’ educational and social-emotional needs.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in appropriate area
- Must hold or be eligible to hold North Carolina Teaching license for Visually Impaired
- North Carolina Teacher Certification – Visually Impaired
