Job Summary
Teach visually impaired students in a K-12 setting; design and implement an instructional program for students with visual impairment; proficiency in Braille; use Assistive Technology; prepare lesson plans and evaluations; participate in staffing and evaluation processes; collaborate with classroom teachers, community resources, and parents; provide progress reports and documentation to school personnel and families; ensure compliance with laws and policies for visually impaired students; ongoing professional growth and coordination with school personnel.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in appropriate area
- North Carolina Teaching license for Visually Impaired
- Graduate work/Master’s Degree preferred
