Job Summary
Implement lesson plans aligned with the district's curriculum program and present subject matter according to Texas Education Agency guidelines. Conduct formal and informal assessments to utilize results for planning instructional activities and work cooperatively with classroom and special education teachers to modify curricula for individual student needs. Prepare targeted intervention lessons and use appropriate instructional strategies, materials, and technology that accommodate individual differences. Positions are available on an as-needed basis with days varying pending campus needs. Applicants must attend the LPISD orientation meeting prior to beginning tutoring and submit three current references including a principal or supervisor.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from accredited university
- Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned
- Knowledge of subjects assigned
- Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Attend the LPISD orientation meeting prior to beginning tutoring
- Provide three current references
- References must include your current principal or supervisor
