Job Summary
Deliver targeted instruction to small groups of students in assigned core academic subjects, implementing lesson plans that accommodate individual differences and align with district curriculum requirements. Conduct formal and informal assessments to guide instructional activities and collaborate with classroom teachers and special education staff to modify curricula per Individual Education Plans. Prepare lessons reflecting Texas Education Agency guidelines and utilize appropriate instructional strategies and technology to support student growth. This role operates on an as-needed substitute basis with varying days pending campus needs. Applicants must attend an orientation meeting prior to starting and submit three current references.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Enrolled in college courses
- Knowledge of subjects assigned
- Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Attend the LPISD orientation meeting prior to beginning tutoring
- Provide three current references
- References must include your current principal or supervisor
