Job Summary
The Theology Teacher will actively instruct high school students in Catholic theology across grades Freshmen through Seniors, including courses on Sacred Scripture, Sacramentology, Morality, Catholic Social Teaching, and Apologetics. Responsibilities include creating lesson plans, delivering instruction, assigning and grading homework, maintaining classroom discipline, communicating with families, managing student progress and records, staying current with curriculum and educational technology, and coordinating with the Chaplain and school leadership to foster spiritual development and academic growth. Requires a Bachelor's Degree in Catholic Theology; preference for a Master's in Theology/Catechetics; practicing Catholic in good standing with required clearances. Full-time, in-person position in Bethlehem, PA.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Catholic Theology required
- Master's Degree in Catholic Theology/Catechetics/Campus Ministry or a related field preferred
- Previous experience working with children
- Active practicing Catholic in good standing
- Letter of Good Standing from Parish
- Clear background checks and Mandated Reporter Training
