Job Summary
Head Coach for girls tennis at the high school level in Fort Myers, responsible for planning, organizing, and conducting regular practice sessions; developing and implementing game strategies and tactics; teaching fundamental skills and sports rules to student-athletes; supervising athletes during practices, games, and school-sponsored trips; monitoring academic progress and helping balance athletics with academics; promoting discipline and good sportsmanship; ensuring compliance with school, district, and state athletic regulations; managing team equipment and uniforms; collaborating with the athletic director on scheduling, budget, and facility use; maintaining open communication with parents and guardians; providing mentorship and guidance toward collegiate opportunities and personal development; enforcing all school policies and codes of conduct; performing other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Prior coaching experience at the high school or competitive youth level.
- Valid Florida teaching certificate or valid Department of Education athletic coaching certificate.
- Valid FHSAA certification.
- Valid Adult and Child First Aid/CPR/AED certificate issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- Any appropriate combination of relevant education, experience, and/or certifications may be considered.
- Valid Florida Driver’s License.
