Job Summary
The position involves providing students with appropriate learning activities to support their intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. Responsibilities include developing lesson plans in line with district curriculum, managing classroom behavior, conducting student assessments, and collaborating with special education staff. Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree and a valid Texas teaching certificate, along with knowledge in subjects assigned and strong organizational skills. Participation in staff development activities and extracurricular supervision is also expected.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from accredited university
- At least one year of student teaching or approved internship
Desired Qualifications
- Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements for subject and level assigned
- ESL Certification required within six months of employment for elementary and secondary core teachers
