Job Summary
Perform clerical assistance, food service support, grounds maintenance, lab assistance, technology support, tutoring, or event setup depending on department assignment. Work during evening or weekend hours as needed. Maintain high work attendance and demonstrate initiative to follow directions independently. Treat individuals with respect and utilize excellent communication skills for client service. Complete pre-employment background checks and maintain required academic standing as a current Spoon River College student.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a current Spoon River College student (enrolled in a minimum of six credit hours during fall and spring semesters and enrolled in a minimum of three credit hours during summer semester)
- Federal work-study eligible for work-study positions
- Must possess a high level of initiative with ability to follow directions accurately and work independently with little supervision
- Must be dependable with a high level of work attendance
- Must possess excellent client service skills
- Must treat individuals with respect and courtesy
- Must possess excellent communication skills
- Satisfactory results of pre-employment background check are required
- Tutors must have completed class(es) to be tutored with a 3.0 GPA or better or currently enrolled in class(es) to be tutored with an instructor recommendation/referral
- Tutors must have an overall GPA of 2.5 or better
- Clerical positions require Microsoft Office proficiency
