Job Summary
Special Education Teacher position at Ignite Achievement Academy's North Charlotte campus for the 2026-2027 school year. Responsibilities include planning and delivering personalized instruction aligned with student academic plans, collaborating with teacher assistants and support staff, implementing behavioral strategies to create a supportive classroom environment, developing individualized academic plans with the Head of School, conducting regular assessments and adjusting instruction based on progress, maintaining open communication with parents and guardians, and participating in ongoing professional development in best practices for special education, speech support, and behavioral interventions. Requires Bachelor’s degree in Special Education (Master’s degree preferred), valid teaching certification (special education preferred but not required), experience with students with disabilities, strong communication and collaboration skills, patience and empathy, stamina to engage with students and lift up to 50 lbs, and ability to pass a background check.
