Job Summary
Co-teach alongside a general education teacher in an inclusion classroom to support all students through rigorous college preparatory curriculum aligned with Common Core standards. Adapt and modify instruction using multiple learning modalities while providing individual or small group assistance for students needing additional support. Constantly assess student progress, communicate results to families, and adjust teaching strategies accordingly. Model KIPP NYC's character strengths in all interactions while committing to constant professional growth through reflection and collaboration.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- New York State Special Education teacher certification
- At least two years of teaching experience
