Job Summary
Part-time Resource Teacher for grades 5-8 at a Catholic school (St. James the Apostle, Glen Ellyn) working as a ministerial employee to support Catholic Church teachings. Responsibilities include planning and delivering instruction, tailoring lessons to student needs, maintaining classroom discipline, collaborating with parents, using technology to enhance learning, completing Catholic identity formation and ongoing professional development, attending faculty meetings and diocesan activities, and communicating professionally with school stakeholders. Requires licensure (PEL or reciprocal) and a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education or related discipline; practicing Catholic status preferred for religion/theology teaching. Salary prorated based on full-time equivalency.
Required Qualifications
- Current Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) or valid out-of-state certificate from a state with reciprocity
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Elementary Education or related discipline
- Practicing Catholic (preferred, required to teach religion or theology courses)
