Job Summary
Preschool Lead Instructor responsible for the overall care and planning for the classroom and individual children in Edmonds Inclusive Preschool. Manages the learning environment, and supervision of staff and volunteers, with a focus on students—including those with disabilities and those funded through the WA ECEAP program—within a 7-hour day, 183-day calendar. The role emphasizes creating socially, emotionally, and intellectually safe learning environments and collaborating to implement curriculum and instructional strategies aligned with WA Early Childhood Education Core Competencies. The position supports inclusive practices and requires coordination with multiple stakeholders to support student learning and well-being.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree or higher with at least 30 quarter credits related to WA State Early Childhood Education Core Competencies
- Two or more years of work experience with classroom instruction in early childhood education
- First Aid and Adult/Child CPR certification within 90 days of hire and maintain certification
- Food Handler permit within 90 days of hire
- MMR Vaccine/Immunization Record (or evidence of immunity)
