Job Summary
Provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences designed to fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. Develop and implement curriculum plans for the assigned grade level, prepare lessons reflecting accommodations for individual differences, and present subject matter in alignment with Texas Education Agency guidelines. Utilize various instructional techniques and media, cooperate with staff to plan objectives, supervise teacher assistants and volunteers, and employ technology in teaching. Assess student progress, participate in school events and activities, maintain a positive classroom environment, and communicate professionally with students, parents, and colleagues. Maintain compliance with district policies and state regulations, participate in professional development, and support school improvement efforts.
Required Qualifications
- Be eligible for the appropriate Probationary Certificate through a TEA approved Teacher Certification Program
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university; Valid Texas teaching certificate
- Student teaching, approved internship or approved Alternative Teacher Certification Program
