2026-2027 Part Time Custodian

Perform routine custodial activities at assigned school sites to maintain buildings, locker rooms, and grounds in a clean, orderly, and secure condition. Sweep, scrub, mop, wax, and polish floors; vacuum carpets; spot clean and shampoo rugs; and assemble, move, and arrange furniture for classrooms and events. Clean classrooms, restrooms, cafeterias, and gymnasiums; disinfect restrooms and drinking fountains; and wash windows and walls. Operate cleaning equipment including vacuums, floor strippers, and carpet shampooers. Monitor gym events for orderly behavior, report safety hazards and maintenance needs, and maintain building security by locking doors and managing alarm systems. Order supplies, manage trash disposal, and respond to emergency cleanups such as spills. Participate in major summer cleaning projects as assigned.
