Job Summary
Teach and oversee a 2026-2027 One Way Dual Language Kindergarten program in Houston, delivering bilingual/biliterate instruction across content areas (Spanish-focused for literacy and language) per TEA and district mandates. Responsibilities include planning and teaching a coordinated program, creating a welcoming and risk-free classroom, supervising students, maintaining records and progress reports, diagnosing and addressing learning needs with intervention methods, implementing instructional modifications per ARD/LPAC decisions, fostering professional relationships with students, families, colleagues, and administrators, implementing an effective discipline system, participating in meetings, sustaining an attendance rate target, and maintaining technology competence for current/future needs. Follow district safety protocols and complete professional development as required. 187-day probationary contract with salary schedule considerations. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from accredited university or college
- Valid Texas Teacher Certification including bilingual or ESL certification
- Texas Reading Academy Certificate (Grades K-3)
