Job Summary
Bring your passion for discovery to Coney Island Prep as our incoming Middle School Science Teacher. Teach science across Living Environment, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics using an Amplify standards-aligned digital curriculum rooted in NYS NextGen Standards. Internalize standards-aligned content, deliver rigorous and culturally relevant lessons, differentiate as needed, and use data to action plan to improve student outcomes. Communicate effectively with scholars, families, and staff; participate in school-wide responsibilities (lunch duty, hallway duties, advisory groups, professional development); foster an equitable and engaging classroom culture; collaborate with grade teams and coaches; build positive relationships with families and staff; and align teaching practice with the school’s anti-racism commitment. Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree and NYS teaching certification (Master’s degree strongly preferred); experience with Google Suite, MacBooks, Chromebooks, and flat panels; dedicated to equity, inclusion, and continuous improvement. This role starts August 2026 and offers a salary range of $71,250-$97,750 plus benefits and professional development support.
