Job Summary
Electives Teachers will internalize standards-aligned curricula to deliver rigorous, culturally relevant lesson plans across multiple elective specializations (e.g., music, art, drama, theater, languages, computer science, video game design, speech and debate, PE, dance, yoga). Responsibilities include differentiating instruction, communicating with scholars and families, implementing school-wide systems, fostering equitable and inclusive classrooms, analyzing instructional data to improve outcomes, creating a positive student-centered learning environment, and participating in school duties and collaborative teams to strengthen teaching practice and school culture. The role requires a Bachelor's degree and NYS teaching certification, with a Master’s degree strongly preferred; collaboration with grade teams and families to support diverse learners and uphold anti-racism commitments. Lead teacher compensation ranges from $71,250 to $97,750 with benefits, technology resources, and opportunities for degree-related support.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and NYS teaching certification required
- Master’s degree strongly preferred or to be completed within two years
- Experience with Google Suite, MacBooks, Chromebooks, and flat panels
