2026-2027 Lower School SK-5 Spanish Teacher

Parker seeks an enthusiastic, dedicated and passionate SK-5 Spanish teacher to design and deliver developmentally appropriate Spanish instruction for kindergarten through fifth grade, collaborate with two additional Spanish teachers to ensure curriculum alignment, and engage with families and the school community. Responsibilities include daily classroom instruction with differentiated planning, prioritizing inclusive curricula, providing regular feedback on student progress, maintaining ongoing parent communication, conferencing with students and colleagues, weekly collaboration with teaching partners to ensure horizontal and vertical alignment, active participation in curricular improvement, and contributing to school life through committees and duties. Requirements include a college degree (teaching certificate a plus), fluent Spanish with native or near-native proficiency, three or more years of lead teaching experience in elementary Spanish, commitment to ongoing professional development, familiarity with ACTFL standards, and preference for multicultural curriculum development and culturally responsive teaching; strong interpersonal and cultural competency; high expectations for students; a passion for Spanish language acquisition; excellent communication and technology skills; and a collaborative mindset.
