Job Summary
Teach a rigorous college preparatory curriculum combining school and New York State standards while using data to drive instructional decisions. Constantly assess student progress, communicate results to families and colleagues, and provide individual or small group instruction for students needing additional assistance. Model KIPP NYC's character strengths in all interactions and maintain strong interpersonal skills to foster a collegial working environment. Commit to constant professional growth through close collaboration with a team of teachers. This role requires New York State teacher certification, a Bachelor's degree, and at least two years of teaching experience. Based in NYC with travel to our schools, the position supports over 9,400 students across our network of eight elementary schools, nine middle schools, and one high school.
Required Qualifications
- New York State teacher certification in the appropriate content area
- Bachelor's degree required
- This role is based in NYC and will require travel to our schools
- If you relocate outside of a commutable distance or out of the state of NY, your employment will be subject to review, which may include separation from KIPP NYC
- You must notify HR if you move or have plans to relocate
- KIPP NYC LLC does not offer visa sponsorship or work authorization
