Job Summary
Assist in administering tests in students' native languages or English (e.g., WIDA Screener, native language assessments, WIDA ACCESS) and support ELL students’ transition to English; work with students individually or in small groups in the target language to reinforce skills, assist with instructional aids and recordkeeping, monitor progress of ELL students, support bilingual parent involvement as interpreter/translator at Open House, orientations, meetings, and conferences; maintain confidentiality and comply with privacy laws; perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Successful completion of a ParaPro Assessment Test or completion of 48 or more semester hours at an accredited institution of higher education.
- Bilingual/biliterate in a minimum of one target language such as Spanish, French, Creole, Portuguese, or other language as needs.
