Job Summary
Instructional Aide for Breakthrough Public Schools to support scholars in K-8 classrooms, including 1:1 assistance, supervising student safety, and assisting lead teachers with activity setup, lesson implementation, and maintaining an organized classroom. Role requires familiarity with state Special Education regulations, reviewing with the teacher or IEP team to become familiar with each scholar's IEP, attending weekly meetings, and performing non-instructional duties as required. Ideal candidates demonstrate a relentless drive to improve student outcomes, strong communication skills, teamwork, comfort with data and technology to personalize learning, and a commitment to serving ethnically and economically diverse scholars in an equitable, anti-racist school culture.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Current Educational Aide Permit or qualified to be licensed as an Educational Aide through the Ohio Department of Education
