Job Summary
Provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences to help them fulfill their potential, focusing on delivering a high school swim program and content responsibilities at Elsik High School. Responsibilities include planning and implementing TEA-aligned swimming instruction, developing lesson plans, collaborating with staff and parents, supervising extracurricular activities, assessing student growth, maintaining professional relationships, and ensuring compliance with district/state guidelines. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
- Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements or training for subject and level assigned
- Current ESL Certification: ESL Certification required within 2 years of employment beginning with teachers hired in the 2010-2011 school year
- Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned
- Gifted Teachers must have 30 hours of gifted approved hours required
