Job Summary
High School Special Education English Teacher at Coney Island Prep for the 2026-2027 school year in Brooklyn, NY. Responsibilities include internalizing standards-aligned curriculum, managing a caseload and preparing IEP reports, developing and tracking IEP goals, leading Tier 2 interventions, planning and implementing Tier 1 interventions, co-teaching, co-planning, and co-leading classroom instruction, delivering academically rigorous and culturally relevant instruction with differentiated approaches based on IEP mandates, effective communication with scholars and families, upholding school-wide systems, analyzing data to improve practice, creating a positive and structured learning environment, and participating in school duties and professional development. Requires passion for education, experience with Special Education, Bachelor's degree and NYS teaching certification; Master’s degree in Special Education strongly preferred.
