Job Summary
Head High School Boys Basketball Coach at i3 Academy in Birmingham, AL, responsible for leading and managing the athletic program in accordance with AHSAA/NFHS guidelines. Develop athletes through skill instruction, conditioning, and character development; schedule games and practices; manage budgets and fundraising; ensure NCAA eligibility and academic standards; maintain compliance with school policies; communicate with parents and the community; use Dragonfly for administrative reporting; supervise facilities and logistics; mentor students and uphold sportsmanship and ethical standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Coaching experience preferred
- Strong understanding of sport fundamentals, strategies, and techniques
- Commitment to student-athlete development and academic success
- Ability to lead and inspire student-athletes
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Proficiency in budget management and resource allocation
- Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and travel for games and tournaments
- Adherence to AHSAA and NFHS coaching standards and ethical guidelines
- Background check and CPR/First Aid certification
