Job Summary
Teach standards-aligned art curriculum to high school students in Brooklyn, using data-based pedagogy and the National Core Arts Standards to write lessons that develop technical skills and foster expression. Create differentiated, culturally relevant instruction; communicate effectively with scholars, families and staff; participate in school-wide systems and advisory structures; promote equity and anti-racism; analyze instructional and cultural data to improve teaching; foster a positive, structured learning environment; participate in duties such as lunch, dismissal, hallway supervision, homeroom and weekly team meetings; start August 2026; compensation includes a Bachelor's-required role with NYS certification and a Master’s-preference pathway.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and NYS teaching certification required
- Master’s degree strongly preferred
