Job Summary
Deliver standards-based instruction across all developmental domains by implementing weekly lesson plans and adapting classroom work for individualized learning needs. Assess student progress through screenings and formative evaluations to adjust instructional strategies, while maintaining a responsive, well-organized environment that includes active supervision, daily sanitizing, and safety drills. Communicate with parents and guardians regarding student achievements and goals through home visits, PACT activities, and four annual conferences, ensuring compliance with federal regulations for family-style meals and data documentation.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development or equivalent coursework
- Criminal Justice Fingerprint, Background Clearance, Sex Offender Registry Check, Child Abuse Registry Check
- Valid Georgia driver's license and reliable transportation
- Health Examination
- Experience working with children under age five and their families
- Ability to prepare and maintain accurate records
- Ability to use pertinent software applications
- Organizational skills
- Basic math skills including calculations using fractions, percentages, and/or ratios
- Ability to read a variety of manuals
- Ability to write documents following prescribed formats
- Ability to present information to others
- Ability to analyze situations to define issues and draw conclusions
- Knowledge of stages of child development
- Knowledge of age appropriate activities
- Knowledge of lesson plan requirements
- Knowledge of methods of motivating and controlling responding to the individual needs of children
