Job Summary
Head Coach Field Hockey position at Laurel Middle School within the Laurel School District. Responsibilities include communicating with assistant coaches about roles and expectations, developing a detailed and organized practice schedule, teaching the fundamental skills and strategies of field hockey, ensuring compliance with DIAA rules, coordinating with the athletic director and booster club, managing team equipment and records, promoting team achievements to the media and school, and supporting the academic progress of student athletes. Must work effectively with staff, students, and parents; demonstrate professionalism and sportsmanship; and participate in required staff meetings and administrative duties. Salary is per the local athletic salary schedule; applicants must complete a district coaching application, submit a letter of interest, and pass criminal background and health checks.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Teaching Certificate preferred
- Coaching experience preferred
- Familiarity with DIAA rules, regulations, procedures and policies preferred
