Job Summary
Head Coach for Boys golf at a high school in Fort Myers, FL. Responsibilities include planning, organizing, and conducting regular practice sessions; developing and implementing game strategies; teaching fundamental skills and rules; supervising student-athletes during practices, games, and school-sponsored trips; monitoring academic progress; promoting discipline, responsibility, and sportsmanship; ensuring compliance with school, district, and state athletic regulations; managing equipment and uniforms; collaborating with the athletic director on scheduling, budget, and facility use; and providing mentorship to student-athletes regarding personal development and college opportunities. Requires knowledge of golf rules, techniques, safety practices; strong communication, organization, and leadership skills; ability to work evenings, weekends, and during school breaks as needed; valid Florida teaching or coaching certification and a valid Florida Driver’s License.
Required Qualifications
- Prior coaching experience at the high school or competitive youth level
- Valid Florida teaching certificate or valid Department of Education athletic coaching certificate
- Valid FHSAA certification
- Valid Adult and Child First Aid/CPR/AED certificate issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Any appropriate combination of relevant education, experience, and/or certifications may be considered
- Valid Florida Driver’s License
