2026-2027 Fifth Grade

Plan individually or cooperatively a program of study that meets students’ diverse needs; establish department or grade-level objectives and implement evaluation plans. Create a classroom environment conducive to learning and guide the learning process toward curriculum goals with clear objectives for lessons, units, and projects. Employ instructional methods and materials aligned to objectives; assess student progress regularly and provide reports. Diagnose learning strengths/weaknesses with district specialists as needed; counsel colleagues, students, and parents; implement school policies and maintain classroom order. Supervise support personnel and volunteers; integrate technology in teaching; maintain accurate records as required by law and district policy. Perform Medicaid administrative claims activities per SDAC Guide; adhere to ethics and district requirements; support school improvement initiatives; recognize indicators of student distress or abuse and act accordingly; establish appropriate testing environments and ensure test security.
